My debut solo exhibition, presented in partnership with the OFF GRID Independent Foto Festival 2022 at Verein Fortuna, presented a body of work centering on self portraits.

Exhibition Text: The essence of self-portrait photography is performative – a form of art that captures moments during a performance by the photographer themselves. In this collection of self-portraits, I perform for my camera as both the exhibitionist (model) and voyeur (photographer). In each performance, I must decide whether to be reflective, examining myself as the world might see me; or expressive, showing the world how I see myself or wish to be seen. As I perform, I reveal intimations of myself and the relationship between by body and society conceptions of masculinity, femininity, queerness and beauty. Through this, I explore my gender expression, sexuality, emotions, and anxiety.
