Was war Inzwischen?

Group Exhibition, Ostlicht Gallery for Photography

9 July - 6 August 2022
Curated by Katharina Manojlovic

Work exhibited: Mother, A Blouse to Hold Me (2022)

Curatorial Text: What does it mean when a photograph becomes materialised in space? How can history/s and places be re-imagined, freshly appropriated and thought? What is between the images?

The extensive exhibition at Galerie OstLicht presents works by the graduates of the 2021/22 class of the Friedl Kubelka School for Artistic Photography. The title alludes to the pre-printed memo pads that were once used to record conversations and as a memory aid, and picks up on the central themes of the show: It focuses on the process of photographic creation and reflection on the special properties of photography as a medium of memory, as well as on sculptural stagings of the body and the artistic exploration of abstract spaces.
